Foundation of Les Ateliers LR ETANCO
Les Ateliers LR ETANCO begins operations as a manufacturer
of fasteners for roofing. In 1960, ETANCO starts the production
of the first self-tapping and self-drilling headed fasteners from
colourful plastics using overmoulding technology.
The establishment of the subsidiary specialising
in solutions for infrastructure projects, i.e. railway
tracks and rails.

Development of ETANCO
In the early 1970s, ETANCO expands its range of solutions into
the French market. In the 1980s, ETANCO expands its production
capacity by opening the logistics centre in Aubergenville near Paris.
Expansion into the European markets
The decade of the 1990s witnesses the expansion of ETANCO
beyond France (Germany, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic). Following
the first European Technical Approval (ETAF 001) in 1997, ETANCO
obtains the CE mark for all its anchorages.

The new rules and standards are a challenge for
ETANCO, but also a chance for its growth. Joining
the group of companies: Reunion-Fixations, SICOP
and BOL Fixations allows for further European
development (Romania, Portugal, Spain, Reunion
Island).
